Pricing & Fees Policy

MICYN Pricing & Fees Policy

This Policy explains product pricing, buyer charges, seller fees, payment-processing costs, refunds, chargebacks, reserves, and seller payouts on the MICYN marketplace.

1. Product Pricing

Independent sellers generally establish the prices of their products. Sellers are responsible for ensuring prices are accurate, discounts are genuine, quantity requirements are clear, wholesale or bulk pricing is properly explained, and all required charges are disclosed in compliance with applicable law.

MICYN may correct display or calculation errors and may pause or cancel affected transactions where reasonably necessary. Prices may change before an order is completed.

2. Charges Paid by Buyers

Before a buyer places an order, the checkout should display the applicable product price, shipping charge, sales tax, product variation charges, discounts, and any other clearly disclosed amount, together with the final order total.

MICYN does not charge buyers a separate marketplace service fee unless such a fee is clearly disclosed before checkout.

3. Seller Marketplace Service Fee

MICYN currently charges sellers a marketplace service fee equal to 5% of the product sale price for each product successfully sold through MICYN.

Unless otherwise stated, the 5% fee is calculated using the product price after seller-funded discounts and excludes separately stated sales tax and separately stated shipping charges.

4. When the Marketplace Fee Is Charged

The 5% marketplace fee is charged when an order is successfully placed and paid through MICYN. MICYN may deduct the fee directly from the seller’s proceeds. When an order contains multiple products, the fee may be calculated separately for each sold product.

5. Payment-Processing and Third-Party Fees

An independent payment processor may charge fees for processing buyer payments, seller payouts, currency conversion, failed payments, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, or expedited payouts. These charges are separate from MICYN’s 5% marketplace fee unless expressly stated otherwise.

The exact processing fee and payout options should be displayed in the seller dashboard or applicable provider terms after the payment processor has been selected.

6. Refunds and Marketplace Fees

When an order is fully refunded, the buyer will receive the refundable amount required by the applicable return policy and law, and the seller’s proceeds may be reversed.

MICYN may refund its marketplace fee when a full refund is issued for reasons not caused by seller misconduct. The marketplace fee may remain payable when a refund results from an inaccurate listing, unavailable inventory, late or failed shipment, prohibited conduct, seller cancellation, counterfeit or unsafe products, fraud, or another seller-policy violation.

Payment-processing fees and other third-party charges may be non-refundable when the applicable provider does not return them.

7. Partial Refunds

For a partial refund, MICYN may recalculate the marketplace fee using the portion of the product price retained by the seller. Payment-processing costs, dispute charges, carrier costs, and other external expenses may remain non-refundable.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

When a buyer disputes a payment, MICYN or its payment processor may withhold or reverse the disputed amount, request documents, delay payouts, charge applicable dispute fees, deduct amounts from seller balances, or restrict the seller account.

Sellers must promptly provide requested evidence, which may include product descriptions, customer communications, tracking, proof of delivery, photographs, refund records, and other transaction documentation. MICYN does not guarantee that a chargeback will be resolved in the seller’s favor.

9. Seller Payouts

Seller payouts are issued according to the payment processor and payout schedule shown in the seller dashboard. Payout availability may depend on completed payment, account verification, shipment or delivery status, the return period, fraud review, chargebacks, reserves, and applicable law.

New, high-volume, high-risk, or policy-restricted seller accounts may experience longer payout holds or rolling reserves.

10. Reserves and Holds

MICYN may place a reasonable reserve or temporary hold on seller funds when necessary to address refund risk, chargeback risk, fraud concerns, sudden sales increases, repeated customer complaints, unfulfilled orders, verification issues, legal requests, unsafe product concerns, or policy violations.

Funds will be released when the applicable risk or obligation has been resolved, subject to payment-provider requirements, refunds, disputes, and applicable law.

11. Negative Seller Balances

A seller account may have a negative balance because of refunds, chargebacks, dispute fees, reversed payments, unpaid marketplace fees, shipping adjustments, or other authorized deductions.

Sellers authorize MICYN to recover negative balances from current funds, future payouts, reserves, an approved payment method, or another lawful collection method. MICYN may suspend selling privileges while a negative balance remains unpaid.

12. Seller Discounts and Promotions

Sellers may offer discounts where supported. Unless otherwise stated, MICYN’s 5% fee is based on the amount actually paid for the product after seller-funded discounts.

If MICYN funds a promotion, the seller’s fee calculation and proceeds will be governed by the disclosed promotion terms.

13. Wholesale and Bulk Pricing

Sellers offering wholesale or bulk pricing must clearly disclose the minimum order quantity, unit price, total price, available stock, processing time, shipping method, return limitations, and any business-account requirements.

Wholesale wording must not be used for a product unless a genuine quantity-based or business-purchasing offer exists.

14. Taxes

MICYN may calculate, collect, report, or remit sales tax where legally required. Sellers remain responsible for providing accurate tax information, reporting seller income, paying taxes not collected by MICYN, and understanding their obligations in relevant jurisdictions. MICYN does not provide tax advice.

15. Currency

Unless otherwise stated, prices are displayed and charged in U.S. dollars. Banks, card issuers, or payment providers may impose currency-conversion or international-transaction fees that are outside MICYN’s control.

16. Fee Changes

MICYN may update its fee structure as the marketplace develops. Material fee changes will be communicated before they take effect through email, the seller dashboard, an updated policy, or another reasonable method.

A new fee will not be applied retroactively to a completed transaction. Continued selling after the effective date of a properly disclosed fee change constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

17. Avoiding Marketplace Fees

Sellers may not use MICYN to identify a buyer and then move the transaction outside the Platform to avoid marketplace fees, payment records, safety processes, or marketplace policies.

Fee avoidance may result in removed listings, assessed fees, account restriction, payout holds, or account termination.

18. Errors and Adjustments

MICYN may correct pricing, fee, payout, refund, tax, or calculation errors. Sellers authorize reasonable adjustments to current or future balances, subject to applicable law and supporting transaction records.
